32 Teams – 31 Matches – 2000 young supporters all at one Campus – Don Bosco, Kurla .  On February 24 & 25, 2007 the winning teams felt the grass greener while the losers had more friends for company.  The PAST PUPILS UNIT, Kurla made their PRESENCE felt in this 2nd Rink Football tournament.

Youth from Borivli to Colaba, Thane to V.T made Don Bosco, Kurla their Center Point.  It was not so much of winning or losing (that also because Rs.500/- per team was at stake and Rs.7000/- was for the winning goal).  All the drama of a tournament was there Yelling – Yellow + Red Cards, a few wild kicks, Limbo + White powder, Dadagiri + Gandhigiri and Street slogans like ‘refree go home’.  Don Bosco Zindabad added spice to this ‘Football Curry’, it tasted hot but the beauty of it all that within the heat there was a coolness about the temperature.  Current or no electricity there was power of the Youth.

The Salesians Community made its presence visible.  Fr. Santino Mondini who said “he would not come”, came in style down by the lift.  He gave a face lift to the gathering.  The photo session was picture perfect.  Poor Father he had to climb 4 floors to reach his room that was the spirit of this 2nd Past Pupils Ring Football tournament. The Don Bosco Oratory, Kurla went home rich.  The good old days are happening now.  One Ball, One Goal, One Community, One Spirit of Don Bosco Kept Alive & Kicking.
