We the past pupils of the KURLA UNIT on 14th April 2007, organized a Family Day. One hundred and seventy-five past pupils along with their families and spouses came to their Alma Mater to share their joy and to feel one with other members, and to experience the old times and also to meet their old friends of yester years.

It was a joyous evening to get the past pupils with their families together. The objective of this evening was to get the members together so that they could associate with each other and get to bond into a united body together with the core group which is at present twenty-five and increasing in numbers.

The Program started at 8.15 pm, Mr. Claver Rodrigues a past pupil led with his prayers. Mr. Amar, the Secretary recited the prayer of Don Bosco, The President Mr. Wenceslaus Pinto then welcomed the gathering and felicitated the Dignitaries and the Well-Wishers with a floral bouquet. Rev. Fr Adolph our very own Delegate, Rev. Fr. Mario Vaz, Bro. McEnroe, Bro. Colin and our special invitees Rev. Fr. Elias Dias the delegate of the Provincial council, Mr. Ketan Gala, the Secretary of the provincial council were felicitated. Our own patrons of the day were also felicitated for their generosity of helping us in all the events that were carried out in this year.

Our delegate Rev. Fr. Adolph welcomed the gathering and expressed his happiness that many responded to the invitation and he also asked the gathering to register their E-mail-Id’s for further contacts, and also thanked the committee members for their marvelous active work that they do.
Our rector Rev. Fr. Mario vaz inspired the gathering with his talk and also added the needs of the technicians to the neighbouring companies and congratulated the past pupils for their work they do in keeping the past pupils association alive in the spirit of Don Bosco.

 The evening was festive with songs and dance, with a melodious music from Mr. Richard Braganza a past pupil from the first batch of Electronic. Spot prizes, games for children and the adults. The “Musical chair” for Gents and Ladies under the Title of Bread & Jam was the most moving moment of the evening. This was followed by the Dance Jam session in which all participated and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Mr. Bommi Boyce gave the Vote of Thanks. The Dinner table was blessed by our Provincial Delegate Rev. Fr. Elias, who thanked everyone for coming in large numbers and gracing the occasion and also for their participation, congratulated the Kurla Team for their marvelous active participation and also extending their hands to the Provincial level and ended with the Grace.

The show was handled by one of our past pupil Mr. Elvis D’Mello and Mr. Kenneth a past pupil of Matunga unit who encouraged everyone to participate and make the best of this occasion.
The set up and the decoration for the evening was done by none other than Mr. Angelo Patel a past pupil of this unit making the evening more beautiful.

 All things have an ending and then this gathering was brought to a close with a soft music in the background and happy memories that will linger on because of the togetherness that we experienced.
