KURLA, APRIL 27, 2009: The Don Bosco campus at Kurla was pulsating with football fever this past weekend, April 25-26, as the Don Bosco Alumni, Kurla

Unit, organized the 'Fourth Bosco Challenge Rink Football Tournament'. The event was inaugurated at 8.30 am on Saturday April 25, by Fr. Mario Vaz, Director of DB Kurla. Over the past few years this tournament has evolved into a prestigious annual event and the teams look forward to it with much excitement. A total of 48 teams participated in the tournament this year. The spectators were treated to some high quality football over the two days. After a series of thrilling matches, the competition reached its climax in the finals between Chakala Sports Club and the Holy Cross Parish Team. This game too enthralled the cheering spectators as the players put up a fine display of football skills. Chakala Sports Club ultimately proved to be the better side and lifted the trophy. The prizes were given away by Fr. Mario Vaz and Fr. Adolph Furtado. Congrats to the Alumni for the excellent organization of this football extravaganza.
