KURLA, MARCH 5, 2008: The 'Third Bosco Challenge Rink Football Tournament' was organized by the Past Pupils of the Kurla Unit here at St. Joseph’s, Kurla on March 2, 2008. The event was declared open at 8.30 am by the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Adolph Furtado, Delegate for Past Pupils. The popularity of this annual event has grown tremendously over the past two years. This year forty-eight teams from different parts of Mumbai participated in the tournament. It was a day that saw some fierce competition among the teams, as also a fine display of the togetherness that sports brings about among people. Besides bringing to light some new talent, the game also served as a platform to meet old friends and to make new ones. However, the tournament is not over yet - the pre-quarter finals, quarter finals, semifinals and the finals will be held on March 9, 2008. So the wait has just got a little longer before the winners lift the Third Bosco Challenge Rink Football trophy.
